A place to eat, drink and stay a while. Open every day of the week.
Contemporary Mediterranean food, made here from scratch every day. Good wine and a table on Jerusalem's prettiest pedestrian street.
12 Bezalel Street, Jerusalem
About
Menza has been on Bezalel Street for 12 years, and in all that time it has done more or less the same thing: cook good food, pour wine and keep the door open. Every day. Shabbat too.
You can stop by for a glass of wine and some focaccia on your way home, or settle in for a dinner that ends when we close. Both are perfectly good plans.
Chef Dan Porat runs the kitchen with a Mediterranean hand and no shortcuts. We make everything ourselves, from the sauces to the burgers and sausages. Outside, there are tables on the pedestrian street, right across from the Schatz Museum and the Bezalel architecture school.
Jerusalem is a city you can't live with and can't live without. Menza is where it gets a little easier to live with.
